HarisonDustinJoined the Board of Trustees in June 2023 as the US Naval Medical Research Unit-3 (NAMRU-3) Representative. Dr. Harrison is a US Navy Microbiologist and currently is the Director US NAMRU-3 Cairo, Detachment. Prior to his assignment, Dr. Harrison previously served as a Technical Collections and Requirements Officer, and Head of Laboratory Operations for the Department of Defense. Prior to that he was the Head of Operations, Molecular Diagnostics, and Immunodiagnostics for the Naval Medical Research Center, Biological Defense Research Directorate, and has served as a Department Head for the US Naval Medical Research Unit – 2 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, as well as several other postings. Dr. Harrison has a Master of Science degree in Pathobiology from the University of Wyoming specializing in Parasitology and Immunology; board certification in Medical Technology; and received his Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2010. Dr. Harrison and his wife Sara have 2 children attending CAC.
