Most of you are already familiar with the PRIME Trips (Primary Resource in the Middle East) that our students are privileged to take in the Middle School. We are writing to you now, because as soon as we return in August, we will need to begin preparing for the PRIME Trips that will happen from October Sunday, October 23rd - Thursday October 27th 2016 for our seventh and eighth graders, and from Monday, October 24th - Thursday October 27th for our sixth graders.
For our sixth grade students, and new students here is a little background to familiarize you with this exciting program. These PRIME trips are an important part of the Middle School program. This off-campus activities-based program offers students the opportunity to extend the curriculum beyond the classroom walls in exciting ways in a new environment. They are also able to develop new friendships, try new experiences, and build self-confidence. The CAC PRIME Trips are an integral and mandatory part of the Middle School curriculum.
In the 2016/17 school year, we are very pleased that we can return one of our trips to Egypt for the first time in several years, as the security situation here allows us to take the sixth graders back to Luxor for an exciting four days that complements their ancient civilisations studies in Social Studies. The seventh grade students will once again return to Jordan, a trip that has been extremely successful in the past, while the eighth grade students will have the amazing opportunity to visit Greece for a mix of cultural and outdoor activities.
