CAC Hosts City-wide Spelling Bee

Today, CAC hosted 10 visiting teams to the City-wide Spelling Bee. We ran an Elementary and a Middle School Bee. 33 contestants competed in each division, and CAC spellers did CAC proud with their performances! Congrats to Michelle P, who finished 3rd overall in the ES Division and to Sakariya G, who finished 2nd overall in the MS Division. Congratulations to all spellers and thanks to the teacher who served as judges and who helped organize.

CAC IB/AP Art Show Opens, March 16

The Opening Night events start at 5pm and the students’ art work will be on display from March 16-22. Opening Night will feature Vocal Music Showcases by CAC students and refreshments. Mon Mar 13, 2017, The Necropolis of Saqqara

Located south of modern Cairo, on the west bank of the Nile is a vast, ancient burial ground in Egypt, serving as the necropolis for the Ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis.

We will visit the
 Imhotep Museum,
 Djoser Pyramid Enclosure,
 Pyramid of Teti,
Tombs of Mereruka & Kagemni, Mastaba of Ti, Tombs of Iy-Nefert, Ptahhotep & Unas-ankh.  Visits to 
Tombs of Iruka-ptah,  Niankhkhnum & Khnumhotep and the
 Horemheb cemetery are an option with an additional fee.

We meet at 8:15 a.m. at the back gate of CAC and the bus will leave promptly at 8:30 a.m.

CAC Hosts Girls Get Strong II


Screen Shot 2017-03-06 at 12.52.12 PM.pngGirls Get Strong will host its second health and fitness conference on Saturday, March 25th.  This year we are expanding our model and inviting other international schools in Cairo to join us!  This year’s theme is Breaking Boundaries and it is without a doubt we have assembled a wide variety of experts to help our young women break the boundaries preventing them from living healthy lifestyles. 

Some of the topics we will be addressing this year are gender profiling in athletics, goal setting, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and nutrition.  The conference will feature licensed counseling therapists, nutritionists, personal trainers, and physiotherapists.  Along with learning from qualified professionals, students will participate in a variety of fitness activities that include barre, body attack, crossfit, kickboxing, step aerobics, TRX, yoga, and zumba.
