Congratulations to Farida Osman '13, a junior at UC Berkeley, who swam a 21.32 in the 50 yard free stroke on Thursday night, during the Pac-12 Championships, setting a school record and Pac-12 record.
On Friday night, she won her third title at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships when she captured the 100 butterfly with a record-breaking time of 50.53. Osman’s time in the 100 fly set a new Pac-12 Championships record, the third record she set during the week. It was also a lifetime best and the second-fastest time in the nation this season.
Farida's latest record-breaking performance adds to her long list of achievements, most recently being named the 2015 Female African Swimmer of the Year, for an incredible year "swimming lifetime bests and setting national records in all her top events".
