Farida Osman, a highly accomplished Egyptian swimmer who was born in the US, visited CAC in the past to speak to and inspire our students. Osman is not only a world-class athlete but also an alumna of our school, which made her visit even more special. She has competed in multiple World Championships and Olympic Games, and has won numerous African Championships and set multiple African records in various events. At the 2017 World Championships, she won a bronze medal in the 50-meter butterfly, becoming the first African woman to win a medal in that event. Beyond her competitive achievements, Osman is also known for her philanthropic work, including her involvement with the charity organization Right to Play, which promotes education, health, and peace in disadvantaged communities around the world. During her visit, Osman shared stories about her personal journey, emphasizing the importance of hard work, dedication, and self-care. Her message resonated with our students, who left feeling inspired and motivated to pursue their own passions. We are proud to call Farida Osman an alumna of CAC and are grateful to her for taking the time to visit and share her story with us.
