Ms. Sioud is the Management Counselor for Management Affairs at U.S. Embassy Cairo, Egypt. Prior to Cairo, she was the Deputy Consul General at the U.S. Consulate in Erbil, Iraq, the Management Counselor at U.S. Embassy Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy N’Djamena, Chad. Her other postings include the Executive Office of the Near Eastern Affairs & South and Central Asian Affairs Bureaus, U.S. Embassies Singapore, Ulaanbaatar, Tripoli, Algiers, and Doha, and U.S. Consulates General Dubai and Auckland. She also served as the Political Advisor to the 1st Armored Division based in Tikrit, Iraq, and as a Civilian Observer with the Multinational Force & Observers in the Sinai. Prior to joining the Department of State, Ms. Sioud was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea, and worked with the United Nations World Food Program. She is married with two school aged children.
