Our division caters to children from three years of age in our Early Learning  (EL) and Kindergarten to Grade 5 students in our Elementary School. We have an innovative campus that features open-plan learning environments and state-of-the-art facilities. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) provides the framework of our curriculum from EL to Grade 5. The IB, PYP supports students to deeply investigate their world, encourages critical and creative thinking, and promotes active citizenship with global perspectives. Our EL program (for three and four-year-old children) reflects the philosophy of the Reggio Emilia. This philosophy views the young child as a competent learner, and an emphasis is placed on the close relationship children share with the natural environment.

Our beautiful eleven-ares campus, which is a home away from home for all of our students and community members, is situated in the heart of Maadi, near the Nile River. This area is marked by an abundance of greenery and trees, and by being one of the safest areas in Egypt.

Our campus boasts many facilities, all of which are open for the use of CAC community members. At CAC we understand that value of community, and one of our main objectives is creating and maintaining a campus that encompasses all of our community members.

Farida Osman, class of 2013, two-time olympian and World Bronze Medalist in swimming, is another one of our wonderful alumni. Farida is a dedicated and passionate professional athlete aspiring to lead and inspire through sport. From being one of the youngest athletes to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games in London to becoming the first Egyptian and Arab woman to ever win a medal at the World Swimming Championships, she continues to be a role model for youth, especially Egyptian, Arab and African women. After her graduation from school, Farida went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies, from the University of California, Berkeley. We got in touch with Farida, and asked her to reflect back on her days here at CAC.

“Being in CAC from 2010 to 2013 has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I had just transferred from another school and was immediately welcomed into CAC with warmth and open arms. Not only by the teachers and administration but by my friends as well,” she said. The national team swimmer met her best friend at CAC. They remain to be great friends until today.

“The best thing about CAC was the people I came across for which I will forever be grateful. After you graduate, you don’t think about or remember your grades but more importantly you remember the memories you’ve made during your time there. These memories and the connections I have made will always be remembered and cherished,” added Osman.

Farida came to visit CAC later on after her graduation, and it was wonderful to have back on campus, inspiring our younger ones. CAC always looks forward to meeting their alumni again.
