Accessing the CAC Server:
What is the CAC Server?
|
The CAC server is a combined faculty and students file storage media. It is the file server used by our students to save their work. Faculty and staff use the CAC Server for shared folders with colleagues as well as for backing up their personal documents.

How do I connect to the CAC Server?
|
- Click on the “GO” from menu bar while in Finder
- Choose “Connect to Server”
- Choose CACServer.cacegypt.org from the list
- Click on Connect (see image below)

What do I do if I don’t have CACServer.cacegypt.org?
- Click on the “GO” from menu bar while in Finder.
- Choose “Connect to Server”
- Click the “Browse” button at the bottom of the pop-up box. (see image below)

- This will open the Network window for you.
- Click CACServer on the All in the left column then click Connect As (see image below).

- Type in your username and password then click connect (See image below).

- 7- Notice there is a folder with your name within your division; this is your personal backup folder.

- All folders on CAC Server that you have access to is listed.
- If you want to save the CAC Server in your Server favorite list click on GO Connect to Server, then type the server name and click “+”, (See image below)
