BOARD COMMUNICATION

Dear CAC Community,

With spring break just around the corner, I am writing to wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, restful and healthy holiday and look forward to seeing you back on campus on April 5th.

The CAC Board would like to encourage parents to actively participate in the upcoming Board elections.  As you might be aware, the CAC community elects two board members each year in the spring. CAC parents and guardians who are not employed by CAC and who are not relatives of CAC employees are eligible to apply for a two-year term for the academic school years 2021 - 2023.

I encourage eligible and interested community members to get in touch with the Board Election Committee comprised of Trustees: Amal Soliman amalsoliman@gmail.com and Marwan Ziwar marwanziwar@gmail.comto provide you with more insight about the roles, responsibilities and duties of trusteeship. Please send an email to board@cacegypt.org if you are interested in receiving a copy of the Election Packet which contains the Candidate Application Form and detailed information regarding the election process.

The Candidate Application form is due by April 11th at 3:00 pm and should be submitted via email to board@cacegypt.org including a personal statement and photo. Each candidate is expected to introduce themselves during the ‘Meet the Candidate Q & A Session’ on April 26th at 7:30 pm where candidates will have time to  introduce themselves and answer questions from the audience. Candidate personal statements and photos will be available online to the community starting April 12th.

Candidate speeches and electronic ballots will be sent to all parents via email, with online voting taking place April 26th through May 4th. Final, confirmed and audited election results will be announced on May 4th at 5:00 pm.
