The Hassan / Webb Aquatics Center is a beloved part of the CAC community. It has been a source of pride and joy to the community since its inception in January of 1979. It was also one of the very first pools in Cairo.
The pool is always busy and lively! During the day, all PE classes rotate through a swimming unit. For the younger grades, focus is on water safety first and then basic swimming technique. Once students reach middle school, focus shifts to include more fitness and endurance. During the year, all students in grades KG-10 have a swimming unit as part of their PE curriculum.
Three Primary Seasons:
After classes: students work hard in the pool to develop their competitive swimming skills.
The first and third season are focused on 'Age Group' swimming.
Through the 'Age Group' program, which is open to students starting at grade 1, the swimmers work on developing stroke skills that they have not yet learned as they fine tune the skills they had already acquired.
Varsity sports:
The CAC Hassan/Webb pool is home to both water polo as well as swim teams. Both are excellent programs with long histories of success.
JV and Varsity Swim Team have historically been one of CAC's most successful varsity programs, excelling at top level international competitions annually. Teams are well supported by the community at large, drawing large crowds for all home competitions.
Open swim hours for community members: We seek to meet the wide variety of fitness and leisure needs of the CAC community at large.
