- Upper Elementary Grades Teacher

- MS / Learning Support Services Teacher
The Learning Support department provides a continuum of differentiated supports and programs based on individual student needs. Students receiving Learning Support may be enrolled in co-taught classes and/or a Learning Support class that focuses on academic, executive functioning, and social-emotional development. This position will require middle school Learning Support Services experience. Experience teaching in diverse co-taught environments across subject areas co-teaching would be beneficial. - HS Design Technology
CAC is seeking an inventive teacher of Innovation, Design and Engineering with knowledge and experience of STEM related fields and Design Thinking. Through this course, students will develop future-oriented skills such as problem-framing & solving; creativity & imagination; collaboration & communication; critical & flexible thinking, persuasion, and entrepreneurship. This course will be a natural evolution of our current Design Technology program with a focus on preparing students with skills and aptitudes that are highly desirable in current and future workplaces. The appointed candidate would need to design, create, plan and implement the new course in the high school and work collaboratively with the MS teacher to align the curriculum for Grade 6-12. - HS IB Economics/Business (also History)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic teacher of DP Economics. Combined with this position is a Business and Entrepreneurship elective course. The social studies team embraces the Harkness methodology of discussion-based learning and our classrooms are equipped with large Harkness tables for this purpose. The department delivers various subjects within our curriculum, including: World Cultures, Modern World History, US History (AP), IB History, IB Economics, Business, Management and Entrepreneurship, IB Global Politics and TOK. - HS IB English Literature
Our English curriculum is based on the AERO standards and in Grades 11 & 12 we offer the IBDP English Literature course. In addition we have courses in American and World Literature as well as Creative Writing. The English team works to ensure diverse and inclusive voices are represented through our text selections and task design. The English team embraces the Harkness methodology of discussion-based learning and our classrooms are equipped with large Harkness tables for this purpose. We are seeking an educator to help our students develop their skills in critical thinking, analytical writing and interpretation. - HS Drama Teacher
The Drama and Theatre subject offerings include Theater Making, Theatre Design and Production, and IB DP Theatre. There is also a Film and Video class currently offered as an elective. In addition to the taught classes, there is an annual HS Production that draws a large audience from the entire community. CAC has a large 500+ seat theater and two black box rehearsal/performance spaces as well as many smaller green rooms, costume and props stores, and a fully functioning workshop for set building. We are seeking an innovative drama educator with extensive experience in building and developing theater programs as well as collaborating across the MS and ES divisions. The performing arts, and theater, in particular, has the ability to bring people together to explore their creativity while developing collaboration skills and self-confidence. At CAC we value the positive impact the arts can have on student wellbeing and look forward to enhancing our programs further in the coming years. - HS Visual Arts
The Visual Arts subject offerings include IB and AP art courses as well as high school studio (2D and 3D) and digital arts. The successful candidate will ideally have IB and AP experience as well as a willingness to collaborate and work as a team. The visual arts classes at CAC are extremely popular and often oversubscribed.
