HS Mathematics (IB & AP)

Cairo American College is seeking an experienced and collaborative teacher of social studies to join our exceptional and diverse team here in Cairo. The position will include teaching high school history courses, a business and entrepreneurship elective and IBDP Economics SL and HL. The social studies team embraces the Harkness methodology of discussion-based learning and our newly renovated, large classrooms are equipped with Harkness tables for this purpose. The department offers a wide variety of social studies courses within the curriculum including: World Cultures, Modern World History, US History, AP Psychology and IBDP History, Economics and Global Politics. HS Design Technology
Cairo American College is seeking an experienced, collaborative and innovative teacher of High School Design, Technology and Engineering to join our exceptional and diverse team here in Cairo. Next year, due to increasing enrollment, we are exploring adding an AP science class to our course offerings. The purpose-built and well-equipped science labs in our recently fully renovated HS building take center stage with their location on the ground floor and glass classroom walls. We are looking for the right educator to help students develop their natural curiosity, problem solving skills and scientific inquiry, working in a highly collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the IB, AP and teaching experience in an American international school setting. HS English (part-time 40%)
Cairo American College is seeking a collaborative and innovative part-time teacher of High School English / Language Arts. This position is intended for part of a teaching couple.
Our English curriculum is based on the AERO standards and in Grades 11 & 12 we offer the IBDP English Literature course. The English team works to ensure diverse and inclusive voices are represented through our text selections and task design. The team embraces the Harkness methodology of discussion-based learning and our classrooms are equipped with large Harkness tables for this purpose. We are seeking an educator to help our students develop their skills in critical thinking, analytical writing and interpretation as well as a passion for reading. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the IB and teaching experience in an American international school setting.
