Program of Significance: Advisory Program

MS Advisory Program

The CAC middle school advisory program covers a variety of health and well-being topics such as physical health, mental health, healthy relationships, wellness, and stress management.  Desired outcomes of the CAC MS advisory program include:

- Emotional regulation: Learning how to manage emotions effectively leads to greater emotional stability and resilience, which are important components of overall well-being.

- Positive self-image: Encouraging positive self-talk and healthy self-esteem helps students feel more confident and self-assured, which will lead to better mental health outcomes.

- Mindfulness: Practicing mindfulness techniques, such as relaxation, helps students manage stress and anxiety more effectively, leading to greater well-being.

- Healthy habits: Encouraging healthy habits, such as regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and adequate sleep, leads to improved physical health outcomes and greater overall well-being.

- Self-care: Teaching students the importance of self-care, such as taking time to recharge and engage in activities they enjoy, helps prevent burnout and promote better mental health.

- Social connectedness: Building strong social connections and friendships helps students feel more supported and less isolated, which will have a positive impact on their overall well-being.
