CAC STUDENT-ATHLETE STORIES

CAC Student-Athletes

Audrey Allison and Nicholas Rotolo are two HS students who enjoy being a part of the swimming team here at CAC. Thanks to Ms.Tatiana, our swimming coach’s support and encouragement, the two enjoy their after school practices and work hard to develop their skills.CAC Student-Athletes

Audrey, who has been with us for 5 years, was not a part of any sports program in Texas, US before she joined CAC. She expressed her gratitude for being able to become a part of the swimming team here at the school; “ Almost everyone that I know either practices a sport or is passionate about something outside of school. I think that the school here really understands the importance of this on the students’ daily lives, and supports it,” she added. “Ms. Tatiana is really fun to be around, and the environment is just really welcoming,” she noted.

CAC Student-Athletes Nicholas, who was also in Texas, US before coming to Egypt had been swimming for many years before joining CAC a year ago. “When I first learned that we were moving to Egypt, it was very important for me to look for a school with a good swimming program, so CAC was the best option for me,” he added. Nicholas always had a passion for swimming, and always strives to develop his skills and to become better at it. He is very happy with the support and motivation that he receives here from the different community members. The student recently won 1st place in a friendly swimming competition here at CAC last week.

Both students are planning to return to the US to apply for universities there in the near future, and coming from a school that has a strong athletics program is a very big plus for them. Nicholas is even hopeful he might be able to land a sports scholarship if he continues his efforts and hard work!

CAC athletes are able to take part in different tournaments like the ISAA ( which has recently been on hold due to Covid-19 mitigation measures) and this gives them a great deal of exposure to meet other athletes from around the world and compete on an international level. Two years ago right before Covid-19 became a worldwide pandemic, Audrey was with the swimming team in the ISAA in Amsterdam, and she felt how incredible it was to be a part of a bigger community working together toward a common goal.

We wish all our students all the best in their bright futures, as we continue to provide them with encouragement and support to pursue their dreams and follow their passions.
