Joined the Board in July 2021 as an elected community representative for a two year term 2021-23 and as an appointed member for the term 2024-25. Dr. Galegher and her husband Omar Naguib, a CAC alumnus have three sons, Zane, Ali, and Taymour. Dr. Galegher holds a Ph.D. in Comparative and International Education, graduate degrees in Middle East Studies and Secondary Education, and a B.A. in International Affairs. Her research focuses on international schools, internationalization and localization of curricula and policy, and teacher preparation and education for diverse and marginalized communities.
She taught students from PreK to adult language learners and has worked as a teacher, administrator and researcher in IB and US education systems for 14 years. She has been part of the CAC community since 2010 in a variety of capacities, teaching, researching, and volunteering. As a member of the PTO executive board, she initiated and headed the DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) PTO committee and organized and facilitated CAC Talks.
