Greg joined the board in July 2024 as the Apache representative. He serves as acting vice president, Egypt Assets, country manager, and general manager for Apache’s Khalda Petroleum Company joint venture. Before taking on his roles in Egypt, he served as vice president of onshore production operations in the U.S. where he oversaw Apache’s production operations in the Permian Basin. Since joining Apache in 2001, he has held operational and management roles with increasing responsibilities in the Permian Basin, Canada, as well as Egypt. Mr. McDaniel began his career as an engineer at Chevron. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa. He also completed the executive management program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Mr. McDaniel is also the chairman of the board and president of Springboard Girls Schools, a nonprofit organization founded by Apache in 2005 dedicated to educating girls in rural areas of Egypt. In addition, Mr. McDaniel serves on Cairo American College’s Board of Trustees.
